Dru Martin Design and Phorium Join Forces

November 1, 2004

Moto Interactive has seen the changes of digital evolution and is now helping clients capitalize on them. The web has become the focal point for some of the largest marketing and communications campaigns ever created. But marketing in this vast medium is happening faster than most companies can manage. Brands are fragmenting and budgets are being scattered across agencies of many disciplines. The founders of Moto Interactive saw the need for an agency that delivers website design and development with a strong brand management background.

Moto Interactive jumped at the chance to occupy a space in the newly renovated, historic Meier & Frank warehouse (now the Avenue Lofts). Its location gives them access to a vibrant, active neighborhood in close proximity to the downtown Portland area. The space is at street level with an entrance to the building right outside their door.

Dru Martin, Right Brain, is a creative director and designer specializing in logo and identity development, brand promotion and web design. He worked as an art director and designer for two leading Portland agencies before forming his own design firm in 1996. His experience includes managing new brands, refreshing dated brands, and producing marketing materials for a wide range of clients such as adidas America, Hewlett-Packard, FLY H20, 800.com and others.

Michael Krol, Left Brain, is the technical director for all Moto Interactive projects, including online communications, information architecture, user interface design, database design, and application development. Michael developed his technical skills during a career that has taken him from Chicago to Denver to San Francisco to Portland, where he sprouted his own company in 1998. He has no problems with small towns or small clients, but most of his work has been of a larger scale. Clients ranging from technology firms to breweries have tapped into his talents.
